"As a first-time homebuyer, I was nervous about the entire process. Step by step, Joe made it easy and fun. His expertise in the Columbus real estate market is a tremendous asset. He is highly recommended!" - Nicolette Horan
"I wanted to say thank you again, so much, for all your hard work. I know that you really put a lot of time into this transaction and I really, really appreciate it. I'm so happy I got the house and it all worked out and I just wanted to say thanks again, you did a great job and i really appreciate it. I will put that on the survey when they send it to me.
If there is ever anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to give me a call. I will refer every single person I know to you. I'm going to go get my dog and we're going to sit on the floor of our new house and have a glass of champaign. Thanks a lot Joe" -- Michael Mamp
Berwick-Eastmoor-Westgate all make list of Columbus’ Best Neighborhoods
January 4th, 2007 categories: Real Estate News
I often cite these three neighborhoods for those looking to live in Columbus proper who have a tight budget and want the most house in a nice neighborhood–people who would like to live in Grandview or Clintonville, maybe but just can’t quite scrape up the monthly payment.
The December issue of Columbus Monthly listed what they considered
to be Columbus’ best neighborhoods.? I’ve always thought of Berwick as one of Columbus’ quite gems due to the affordable homes, proximity to downtown Columbus and everywhere else and the lot sizes and architectural variation as well as the cultural diversity.
I love to work in Berwick and lately I’ve had more and more people ask me about Berwick.? The article said that the neighborhood has a population of 4,160, a median home value of $162,212, is 82% owner occupied, and has? 58% minority residents.? It certainly seems to be coming into it’s own while appearing on many more radars of potential home buyers in Columbus.
You’ll have to pick up a past issue to read more about it since the magazine doesn’t have much of an online presence.
Other great neighborhoods, according to the issue, that I also love to work in:
German Village - no brainer here, what’s not to like, great city living
Old Worthington - very nice, comfortable, family oriented
Clintonville - one of my favorite neighborhoods, getting pricey for first time home buyers
Merion Village - homes have shot up in value here, great location and housing stock
Victorian Village - More than Goodale park and Dooh Dah parade, VV has a great sense of community and vibrancy.? It’s the best location in town if you can afford it.
Marble Cliff - in the best inner-ring suburb category, good homes, nice people, great location
