"I wanted to say thank you again, so much, for all your hard work. I know that you really put a lot of time into this transaction and I really, really appreciate it. I'm so happy I got the house and it all worked out and I just wanted to say thanks again, you did a great job and i really appreciate it. I will put that on the survey when they send it to me.
If there is ever anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to give me a call. I will refer every single person I know to you. I'm going to go get my dog and we're going to sit on the floor of our new house and have a glass of champaign. Thanks a lot Joe" -- Michael Mamp
Monday Morning Rant –Sellers–Get on your Realtors to remove snow!
February 19th, 2007 categories: For Home Sellers, Market Updates, Mortgage/Finance, Real Estate News
Yesterday I showed homes for a few hours in Clintonville to a charming couple looking for their first home. Luckily, the weather wasn’t too bad and it was not snowing or raining, or sleeting and it really wasn’t that cold.
Trudging through the snow to get to homes was a nightmare though. Perhaps the biggest reason it bothers me so much is just because it snows so rarely. In Clintonville, it appears as though the snowplows do actually come down the street occasionally, in Central Clintonville anyway, and of course it piles up in front of the drive which is unshoveled in almost all vacant homes, making it impossible to get in off the street. So if I’m parking in the street, my clients are stepping out of the car into snow drifts if I don’t let them off before parking. While parking, I have to make sure that I’m off to the side enough that another car can get through the narrow Clintonville street so I’m afraid of getting stuck.
Of Course, we didn’t get stuck, no one lost a shoe or really complained too much beside the Realtor voice in my head but it’s the principal involved. I know if you’re showing a bank owned property that chances are great it will be untouched since the listing started but if the seller just moved across town recently and they have every desire to sell their home, arrange for the kid down the street to shovel the walk for crying out loud.
