Columbus one of Nation’s Best Places to Expand Business

Apparently, businesses and entrepreneurs are not shy about building and expanding in Columbus and Central Ohio.
Columbus ranked 13th in the country, tied with St. Louis, in 2006 for most capital investment projects according to Site Selection Magazine.
Ohio was awarded the magazine’s Governor’s Cup for having the most projects with 431. The state also had the most “micropolitan” areas, cities and towns with less than 50,000 residents, listing 20.
Ohio led the nation with 431 projects. Of those, 294 were projects in metropolitan cities.
–”This breadth of city options, along with Ohio’s central location and large, skilled labor force, allows executives to find a perfect location to build their successful business and wherever they locate in the state, these executives have vast cultural, educational and recreational opportunities available to them, allowing for a successful personal life as well,” — Ed Burghard, executive director of the Ohio Business Development Coalition.
