"I wanted to say thank you again, so much, for all your hard work. I know that you really put a lot of time into this transaction and I really, really appreciate it. I'm so happy I got the house and it all worked out and I just wanted to say thanks again, you did a great job and i really appreciate it. I will put that on the survey when they send it to me.
If there is ever anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to give me a call. I will refer every single person I know to you. I'm going to go get my dog and we're going to sit on the floor of our new house and have a glass of champaign. Thanks a lot Joe" -- Michael Mamp
Bexley Schools Remain “Excellent”
July 18th, 2007 categories: Bexley
The city of Bexley has always had a reputation for student achievement at Bexley Schools. Continually rated among the best Schools in Central Ohio, Bexley Schools continue to excel.
Excerpts from the This Week Bexley Article
For the seventh consecutive year, the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) has rated the Bexley City School District excellent, administrators said.
The rating is determined by various measures, including a district’s performance on achievement tests for third- to eighth-graders and the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT).
“I’m really proud of the staff and hard work that everybody did,” Superintendent Mike Johnson said.
Last year, the district was rated excellent, Johnson said, but labeled “at risk” because two of its student subgroups — African-Americans and students in special education — did not meet AYP. They did this year.
The district also saw considerable improvement on its fifth-grade math scores. In the 2005-06 school year, 74.9 percent of the students passed the test. The ODE requires a 75-percent passage rate. In 2006-07, Bexley fifth-graders jumped to a 95.28-percent passage rate.
The ODE will have online versions of the district and building report cards available in August. Visit www.ode.state.oh.us. Look in the link, “Testing and Assessments.”
