New Development coming to Bronzeville

A new day dawning for the Bronzeville Neighborhood or . . . . .Since I live down the street, I’ve been waiting for this for a long, long time.  I can finally begin to get excited about something coming to this vacant lot since this morning I watched the sign guy, on the left, put up this sign.

With him is a Marjorie, a neighbor and long time resident who was out walking her dog and was as excited as me — even though I know better.  A sign means nothing.  Occupancy next Spring?  We’ll see.

In the meantime, and despite the lame name of The Monroe on Long, I’m excited to see Long Street starting to happen like I thought it would 11 years ago.
