I cut my teeth and lost my ass in my very first real estate purchase. I think the address was 813 Oakwood. Oakwood is right, but it was a huge corner home built in 1894 +- (i used to remember everything).

We converted it from 8 mega crappy studios to a duplex. Bought it for 18k and resold at a 5k loss overall for about 36k. A devestating blow to my life savings and my ego. That was the same year (1984+-) that i owned Hymies Hot Subs at 18 and High.
