"I wanted to say thank you again, so much, for all your hard work. I know that you really put a lot of time into this transaction and I really, really appreciate it. I'm so happy I got the house and it all worked out and I just wanted to say thanks again, you did a great job and i really appreciate it. I will put that on the survey when they send it to me.
If there is ever anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to give me a call. I will refer every single person I know to you. I'm going to go get my dog and we're going to sit on the floor of our new house and have a glass of champaign. Thanks a lot Joe" -- Michael Mamp
Do Not Enter - One Way - The Sign Says One Way
November 26th, 2007 categories: About Me?, Columbus News
I live on a One-Way street between two very busy urban streets. I like living on a way one street. In theory, I don’t have to worry about cars pulling out of my street when I pull in and I only have to look one way when I’m crossing the street.
In this picture, you can see the Do Not Enter and One-Way sign at the end of my street. There is one just like it on the other side of the street. Even more are at the alley.
Despite this, I guarantee you 5 cars a day or more go down my street the WRONG way. If I’m sitting in my den, at my computer, out of the corner of my eye I notice cars go down the street. I’m ultra sensitive to cars going the wrong way but it seems at least one will go by the wrong way in any given computer session.
At least once a week while I am getting out of my car and going in to my house, I’ll see a car at least turn down the street, if not try to make it to the end. It’s really mind boggeling. And Dangerous. When I turn off a busy Broad Street, I shouldn’t have to worry about cars coming at me the wrong way. Yet, if I don’t look to make sure, I could be in for a collision.
If the signs aren’t enough, then maybe all the cars pointing the same way parked on both sides of the street should give a fair indication that one is breaking the law. Sadly, many wrong way cars realize they’re going the wrong way about a third of the way down the street and SPEED UP to get to the end quicker.
