"As a first-time homebuyer, I was nervous about the entire process. Step by step, Joe made it easy and fun. His expertise in the Columbus real estate market is a tremendous asset. He is highly recommended!" - Nicolette Horan, March 08
"I wanted to say thank you again, so much, for all your hard work. I know that you really put a lot of time into this transaction and I really, really appreciate it. I'm so happy I got the house and it all worked out and I just wanted to say thanks again, you did a great job and i really appreciate it. I will put that on the survey when they send it to me.
If there is ever anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to give me a call. I will refer every single person I know to you. I'm going to go get my dog and we're going to sit on the floor of our new house and have a glass of champaign. Thanks a lot Joe" -- Michael Mamp, Feb 08
What do you want to see here?
December 14th, 2007 categories: About Me?
It’s getting toward the end of the year. I’m thinking about what I want to do with this blog next year and I’m looking for your input. Yesterday, at a closing, my clients (who I adore (along with their 3 month old baby,)) told me I need to update more often. While I do try to get an average of one per day, I don’t always get there. I do sometimes go 3 days or so without a post, especially on the weekends when I’m working or doing that family time thing. So, next year I’m pledging an average of a post a day—not a post every day mind you— but an average of a post a day, at least.
I will also:
- begin podcasting
- begin vlogging
- begin talking to local people about local issues via the above
- talk more about specific communities outside of home prices, etc.
- Add an awesome home search right from the blog (I’ve been working on this and the local MLS makes it almost impossible for an individual agent to accomplish this).
- Add slidewhows of the housing stock in individual neighborhoods
- Somehow incorporate other inside-270 neighborhoods I work in like Eastmoor, WestGate, Berwick, Worthington and Upper Arlington into the mix.
- Add more minutiae of my daily real estate workings – though I may think you’ll find it boring, I’m told that’s what you’d like to read about, especially where how it may be similar to what you’d go through buying or selling your home.
- Find a way to seamlessly meld this blog to my God-Knows-how-many stand alone real estate sites such as ShortNorthRealty.com, ClintonvilleRealEstate.com, GermanVillageRealty.com, CowtownCondos.com, etc.
What do you want to see, read about or hear on Columbus Homes Blog? Email or comment and I’ll consider it. It’s you I serve.
I’m not a one man technology company, though I find everything fascinating from Twitter to Utterz to Jott to Facebook to YouTube and I see more incorporating of those peronal media outlets into the blog though I’m not sure how.

Joe:
You’ve already got my vote for best blog in town. However, there are some upstarts nipping at your heels, so it’s good that you’re planning even bigger things. (laughing)

I think a lot of people would benefit from knowing more information about what sort of grants, tax credits, and special loans are applicable for different urban neighborhoods. There’s a lot of stuff out there, but no good central resource for that type of information. Would be nice to see it all here.
I’d also love to see more personal stories, video testimonies, and that sort of thing. I always enjoy seeing the more personal side of home renovations and before-and-after photos.

Some sort of home improvement/architecture guest blogger would be a nice addition. Oh wait…
