"As a first-time homebuyer, I was nervous about the entire process. Step by step, Joe made it easy and fun. His expertise in the Columbus real estate market is a tremendous asset. He is highly recommended!" - Nicolette Horan, March 08
"I wanted to say thank you again, so much, for all your hard work. I know that you really put a lot of time into this transaction and I really, really appreciate it. I'm so happy I got the house and it all worked out and I just wanted to say thanks again, you did a great job and i really appreciate it. I will put that on the survey when they send it to me.
If there is ever anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to give me a call. I will refer every single person I know to you. I'm going to go get my dog and we're going to sit on the floor of our new house and have a glass of champaign. Thanks a lot Joe" -- Michael Mamp, Feb 08
The Demolition of Bronzeville
December 20th, 2007 categories: Olde Towne East
This could be a long and complicated post but I will try to be more general then specific. Also, to be fair, It’s true that I haven’t contacted anyone at Second Baptist or Rehobeth Temple or Pilgrim Baptist or any of the other churches on the Near East Side to get their opinions or declarations as to the recent demolitions.
In recent years we’ve seen some significant buildings come down on the near East side. Take a look at these two buildings at 17th and Long. Not so much as a caution tape around the perimeter. No demo permits at city hall, no communication with the local residents. No regard for the Near East Area Commission, the Near East Area Plan or anyone but themselves.
Granted, it’s America and if you own something, you should be able to tear it down. I live in the neighborhood and I don’t want boarded up buildings, I want progress. I don’t want it all to be shiny and new. I live here because of the architecture, the flavor, the character and the characters.
Lots more on this here: http://bronzeville.wordpress.com/
