Thanks for a great year Columbus Real Estate Readers

VisitgraphThe last re-design of Columbus Homes Blog came in mid May of 2007.  In the last 18 months, I’ve gone from a blogger platform to Joomla, to this modified WordPress site.

Hard to believe it took me so long to get where I needed to be.  I went from blogging in what seemed like a barren wasteland to tripling monthly visits.

This year I discovered the real estate blog community and now I’m a known real estate blogger across the country with fellow Realtors reading in nearly every state.

Educating those interested in learning more about the Columbus Real Estate world and running this site has become a time consuming, addictive side venture.  I really enjoy blogging and it does make me happy that people are reading.  Now, if I could just do a better job at bringing in clients from the blog . . . . call me if 2008 is the year you buy a new home.

  1. I blogged since 2002, in 2004, I had 17 of my 40+ closings as a social/online referral or 1st generation blog referral. I used the communities that were general to columbus on LiveJournal, AOL, + other places.

Just like AmSpirit, you gotta give first, and without direct expectation. I’d say that columbus.livejournal.com has yielded me 100k+ in commissions. Posting there w/openID may soon be possible, I dunno.

It took a lot more than that, and at the time, I was blogging ANYWAY, mostly book reviews, but the credibility from an obviously used site was part of it.

Because I’m in many states, I’m able to probably wring more dollars out of a worse blog than you are. But, I’ve learned wordpress, I’ve gained some subscribers @ tendayteam.com and I’ve gained some at my own site.

    I’m not a PR 5 yet, but that’ll come.
