Is Your Columbus Home Inspector Licensed? The Answer is No

  1. Thats a disappointing development, Joe, in the constant encroachment of the state in treating Americans like little children.
But great post - I like reading the detail you provide. No reason to look anywhere else!

  2. It will all depend on how it ends up. Licensing for the sake of licensing and gathering funds for the state and providing jobs to favored sons/daughters should not be the end game as it is so many time. If a good process and procedure is put in place to assure quality training and testing and allow new inspectors to get into the business and make a decent living then I don’t see an issue. It will just be another fee I have to pay each year to do business without a return on investment. I sure hope there are a few qualified home inspectors allowed to represent the inspectors instead of politicians and real estate representatives that do not know the inspection side. Also, I would hope that everyone would expect the cost of inspections to rise to cover additional costs.
